The NZ Bishops Conference have prepared a booklet ‘Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide: Myths and Facts available today, and there is information in the foyer, both to assist those wishing to make submissions to the Health Select Committee Investigation as set out in the Bishops letter.
Next Saturday 5pm Mass will be offered in memory of Gary Tangi Manukau and the baptism of family members will take place.

Social Justice Week: 13-19 September – The NZ Catholic Bishops Conference gives us Social Justice Week to consider Catholic social teaching on an issue of social justice in New Zealand. This year the focus is Kiwi Families – It’s Our Story. Brochures that provides questions, action ideas and prayer as an introduction to the theme of family poverty remain available today. A DVD will play today.

New Diocesan Director for MISSIONZ. Bishop Patrick is pleased to announce that Fr Stephen Berecz has been appointed as MISSIONZ Director for the Auckland Diocese. Fr Stephen resides at St Michael’s, Remuera and has been working at Sacred Heart College since 1997. MISSIONZ was known as the Pontifical Missions Society. You can find out more about MISSIONZ by going to its website:www.missionz.co.nz MISSIONZ educates and gathers funds to support the missionary efforts of the Church under the patronage of Pope Francis. The main source of revenue for the Society is the Mission Sunday collection. Mission Sunday will be held on 18 October 2015. Please give generously.
